Early thoughts, Sheol

Last week we did the descent of Christ into Hell. This week we're looking at the Ascension of Christ. The primary texts are from Luke 24:50-53 and Acts 1:9-11. There are many other texts that speak about it, so this will be another hop about the Bible sort of study.

I interpret this, generally, in a strong "unio mystica" fashion. The events of history, the events within the self, the evolution of consciousness, are all found within this divine act of the Christ who is God. I'll be pulling in a few thoughts from the early church Fathers who thought similarly.
